Overarching question: Where do we belong? Christianity In this unit students will explore Christian beliefs about God and the Trinity . Students will examine how God has intervened in the world through the incarnation and how this impacts their faith. This unit also analyses the teachings contained in the parables of the Good Samaritan, the Prodigal son and investigate the importance of the Crucifixion, Resurrection and Atonement for Christians. |

In this unit students will explore Christian beliefs about God and the Trinity. Students will examine how God has intervened in the world through the incarnation and miracles as well as considering how Christians express their faith. Students will study the parables of the Good Samaritan and the prodigal son and consider key concepts such as: sacrifice, Agapé, Forgiveness and Atonement. The teachings of Jesus as a source of wisdom and authority for Christian life will also be studied whilst examining the impact of believing in love for all, and how Christians might put this teaching into action. |

Students may know a little about Christian beliefs. They may have learnt about the Trinity, but are likely to lack real depth of understanding. Students may have some prior knowledge of the life of Jesus but may have little understanding of the context of his teachings. |
